Night Vision Imaging System
Feedsee Military : Night Vision Imaging System : Aviator's head up display for night operations
EFW has been awarded multiple contracts to supply the U.S. Coast Guard with an Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System/Head Up Display, also known as ANVIS/HUD. The systems extend the border patrol, vessel identification and search and rescue capabilities of HH-65 and HH-60J helicopters. The ANVIS/HUD system allows the pilot to fly head out of the cockpit during night operations and by projecting critical flight information into the night vision goggles' view. The electro-optic system has been in operational use since the mid-1990s by U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force rotary wing pilots.
